FANGORIA RADIO caught up with Clive Barker recently, and the author/producer bubbled over with excitement for the movie version of his classic BOOKS OF BLOOD story, MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN. The Ryhuei (VERSUS) Kitamura-directed film, which opens May 16 from Lionsgate, concerns vicious cultlike subway murders and stars Bradley (ALIAS) Copper, X-MEN: THE LAST STAND’s Vinnie Jones (pictured below), Brooke Shields and Roger (HOSTEL: PART II) Bart.
“The violence is staged in a very elegant way,” Barker said. “Mr. Kitamura brings to the picture a style that is uniquely his own. His images pop out of the screen. I am incredibly proud of the picture.”
