BELL WITCH PROJECTS SPOOKING
The legend of the Bell Witch, a phantom that supposedly terrorized farmer John Bell and his family in early 19th-century Tennessee, inspired two movies, and both are ready to haunt audiences. THE BELL WITCH HAUNTING (pictured), previously known as THE BELL WITCH STORY and scripted and directed by Ric White, is just now available on DVD from the movies official website. The disc includes 45 minutes of behind-the-scenes material and over 40 minutes of deleted scenes; the site also contains photos, a trailer and more. Writer/director S. Shane Marrs BELL WITCH: THE MOVIE, meanwhile, was also recently completed and is gearing up for release this winter. The official site for that project, soon to reopen after major renovation, can be found here, and you can register to receive news and a notification of the reopening. See FANGORIA #239, on sale December 7, for a feature story on these two movies.
