Actress Franka Potente has become another new addition to the exciting cast list for FX’s forthcoming second season of ‘American Horror Story’. Potente, famed for her role in Tom Tykwer’s German action thriller ‘Run Lola Run’, has also starred alongside Matt Damon in ‘The Bourne Identity’ and in Christopher Smith’s 2004 British subway horror ‘Creep’. The 38-year old star will play one of the patients of the mental institution for the criminally insane, the new setting for the overhauled season successor. James Cromwell (‘LA Confidential’), Joseph Fiennes (‘FlashForward’), Chloe Sevigny, Chris Zylka (‘Shark Night 3D’, ‘Piranha 3DD’), Mark Consuelos, Lizzie Brochere and the gorgeous Jenna Dewan-Tatum (‘Step Up’, ‘The Grudge 2’) are all newcomers to the popular series hoping to equal the success of last years fantastic series. Although heaps of new performers have already been tacked on to season 2 we don’t think this piece of casting news will be the last.
