From The Grudge to Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales to the once-untitled Asif Kapadia supernatural thriller, Sarah Michelle Gellar’s out-performing her former WB brethren as far as big screen accomplishments go (Jennifer Love, sweetie, it may be time to take I Know What You Did Last Summer 3 after all).
That Kapadia-directed effort I speak of once went under the moniker Revolver until Guy Ritchie came along and claimed the title for himself. According to Bloody-Disgusting, who got the tip from Rogue Pictures (Shaun of the Dead, Cry_Wolf), Revolver is now The Return; and the pic is expected to bow in theaters September 1, 2006.
Scribe Adam Sussman penned the film, which focuses on a woman’s vivid nightmares and her determination to learn more about another gal’s mysterious death twenty-five years earlier. Sussman served as story editor on this season’s Night Stalker series.
