Writer/director Eli Roth has certainly fallen head over horror for Chilean chills of late. ‘Aftershock’ and upcoming feature ‘The Green Inferno’ are both Roth-related horror projects based in the South American country and now his new psychological thriller ‘Knock, Knock’ is also set to shoot there. The project will be written and directed by Roth and it appears that Keanu Reeves (‘The Matrix’) is the man to take the lead role as a happily married family man who is left alone for the weekend and has his life turned upside down by two beautiful girls who show up at his house. The two “beautiful girls” will be played by the sexy Chilean actress Lorenza Izzo (‘The Green Inferno’) and ‘Blind Alley’ Cuban hottie Ana de Armas.
Roth has gone on record to state that ‘Knock, Knock’ isn’t strictly a horror film and is more “a classic psychosexual thriller that’s not a horror movie, but would have everyone on the edge of their seats.” In the vein of classic movies by Roman Polanski or Paul Verhoeven.
Production on ‘Knock, Knock’ commence on 14 April in Santiago, Chile.
