Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release Ulli Lommel’s The Black Dahlia on October 10th, according to Davis DVD. There’s a serial killer loose in Los Angeles brutally dismembering female bodies in a similar fashion to The Black Dahlia cold case from 1947. And for a rookie cop, his investigation leads him into a frightening lair of death and torture, all part of a terrifying fantasy that the killer is trying to bring to life. Not to be confused with Brian De Palma’s upcoming big-screen thriller, this disc arrives with an anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1, audio commentary with Lommel and cast, and trailers. Retail is $26.98.
