In our latest MASTERS OF HORROR update Billy Corrigan, former lead singer of Smashing Pumpkins, will score Tobe Hooper’s DANCE OF THE DEAD installment. Corrigan, who previously contributed music to Rupert (THE FOG) Wainwright’s STIGMATA, debuted his first solo album, THE FUTURE EMBRACE, this summer. “It’s a very extreme episode, and I expect the music will be pretty hard-hitting,” MASTERS creator/producer Mick Garris tells Fango.
Scripted by Richard Christian Matheson from his father’s 1954 story, DANCE OF THE DEAD is a postapocalyptic tale in which reanimated corpses are used to entertain the living in a bizarre cabaret. Jessica Lowndes, Jonathan Tucker and Robert Englund star.
Produced by IDT Entertainment, MASTERS OF HORROR will air weekly beginning October 28, and then hits DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment beginning in February 2006. FANGORIA magazine’s extensive coverage starts in issue #247, on sale September 20. Set visits will follow in #248 and #249. Watch this site on Tuesday for a major MASTERS OF HORROR FANGORIA Weekend of Horrors convention update. You can see the series’ Showtime trailer at www.mastersofhorror.net.
