A new horror anthology is revving up. ‘Prank’, the new project from writer/producers Thommy Hutson and Anthony Masi, has released a batch of first look stills from the production. Check them out below.
The movie’s segments are being directed by genre-fave actresses Danielle Harris, Heather Langenkamp and Ellie Cornell.
Hutson spoke to Fango. “Production on Danielle’s segment ‘Madison’ is complete, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The movie is being shot on the Red-One camera system, an amazing new breakthrough in digital filmmaking. Danielle took the script we wrote and brought it to life with a brooding, chilling style that oozes excitement and thrills, and our actors used the material to go above and beyond what we could have hoped for.” That cast includes Dana Daurey in the title role, Jennifer Blanc as her best friend Emily, Harris’ ‘Halloween 4’ co-star Kathleen Kinmont, J.C. Brandy from the sixth Michael Myers adventure and Coby McLaughlin.
“This is a character-driven movie, and Danielle knew exactly what she wanted from every actor,” Masi adds. “Dana was pushed to the limit on a daily basis, and was at times sobbing before she filmed a scene. Danielle would get her to that point and then say, ‘Action!’ ”
Up next is Cornell’s “Cassidy,” which is currently in preproduction.
