PAUL’S EXORCIST IN THEATERS?
Moviehole reports that director Paul Schraders version of EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING, which was scrapped by production company Morgan Creek, will see the light of a projector after all. ‘Paul is currently in postproduction on the movie, as were anticipating a limited theatrical release in the United States sometime in 2005,’ a Morgan Creek rep tells the site. That would explain why this cut isnt included on Warner Home Videos upcoming EXORCIST DVD, despite the hopes of many fans. No exact release date has been officially announced for Schraders version, which takes a more subtle, psychological approach than Harlins movie, but well keep you posted.
