The sequel to Hammer’s ghost chiller ‘The Woman in Black’ is pushing forward and has picked up two new stars along the way all set to face off against the darkly dressed one. ‘The Woman in Black: Angels of Death’ will be directed by Brit helmer Tom Harper and is set to star ‘War Horse’ actor Jeremy Irvine (below) and Phoebe Fox. The action moves forward about 40 years and is set during the second world war where the mischievous woman begins plucking off disturbed children living within a military mental hospital. ‘The Woman in Black’ was based on the original novel by Susan Hill who has also provided the story for the follow-up whilst Jon Croker provides the script.
“Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed children to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.”
