Tomaselli Talks Satan’s Playground
Dread Central posted an extensive interview with Dante Tomaselli today, in which the filmmaker goes into depth about his new movie SATANS PLAYGROUND. He starts out by explaining how this feature, which stars EVIL DEADs Ellen Sandweiss and SLEEPAWAY CAMPs Felissa Rose, is more linear than his previous DESECRATION and HORROR: SATANS PLAYGROUND is still very dreamlike. But its a simple-to-follow, stripped-down macabre fairy tale as opposed to a puzzle movie. Its made for horror fans to have fun and enjoy. You can jump into a nightmare world and not feel as perplexed as in my other films. But its not spoon-fed; its all very subliminal. What it has in common with my other pictures is that it has an aura of mystery and delirium. Its weird and offbeat. SATANS PLAYGROUND is painterly. I think its my most polished film. Drink a glass of wine and enjoy. In screenings so far, people seem to have a blast, laughing and cringing and jumping. Its a wild horror film ride. You can read the entire interview here, and see SATANS PLAYGROUNDs official website here.
