The ‘Zombieland’ franchise appears that its going to take advantage of AMC zombie series ‘The Walking Dead’s success by attempting to feed on the undead loving public with a TV series adaption of its own. Sony Pictures Television are apparently developing a new series based on the hit comedy-horror which starred Jesse Eisenberg (‘The Social Network’) , Woody Harrelson (‘Kingpin’) and the stunning Emma Stone -below (‘Easy A’). Could this be replacing the much discussed ‘Zombieland 2’? Well according to ‘Zombieland’ producer Gavin Polone the idea for a series, which was thrown about as far back as 2005, will in fact take place of any follow-up feature. “If the TV show goes, then the sequel won’t happen.” says Palone. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been tapped to pen the series with Sony lining up a potential development ready to run during the 2012-13 broadcast season. Polone also stated that the movie’s original cast wouldn’t be involved.
