This movie proves that House of the Dead wasn’t a one off, as this utterly predictable and poorly made ‘thriller’ sees a good cast wasted as they play second fiddle to the most ridiculous script and dodgy score you have possibly ever witnessed….assuming you haven’t seen House of the Dead that is.
Patrick Muldoon plays Matt Sullivan, a young man on the way to meet his new girlfriend Dawn’s parents. Things seem to be going well until the locals begin to act strangely around Matt and then Dawn disappears after an axe wielding psycho breaks into their motel room.
It soon transpires that something strange is going on in the area of Blackwoods, something that everyone seems to be a part of, including Matt. He just doesn’t know it yet!
Uwe Boll’s ham fisted direction, poor editing, cinematography and ADR make this a dull and predictable joke of a movie.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Credit where credit’s due, it threw me off the scent once and had a couple decent songs on the soundtrack, but that ain’t even enough for me to recommend you watch this.
