    Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)

With my love for vampire films naturally I would go to see this. Now I enjoyed watching this, but its not scary and there is almost no story.

Buffy Sommers (didn’t get her last name until the show) is a typical California teenage woman; she’s blond, a bimbo, an air head and she is
annoying. One day she finds out that she is a ‘Chosen One’ a Slayer whose
mission is to kill off the existnce of vampires until the day she dies and
    is replaced by another.

Donald Sutherland is here as her Watcher, someone who watches over the Slayer and teaches her how to fightand prepare for the master vampire. Luke Perry (Beverly Hills ) plays Pike an idiot mechanic who decides to help Buffy in her mission.

The actors here act like they don’t know what they are doing, acting like its there first time n a movie. Donald Sutheland was obviously brought in
for publicity, because he is wasted in this movie. Luke Perry and the rest
of the co-starring cast is annoying. And Kristy Swanson tries too hard to
act like a dumb blond. Go see this film, because when you watch the TV
show you’ll understand why she was thrown out of her old High School.
You’ll also see how far technology has gone to turn the vampires into dust
(here they are killed and left tere, no dust). Also what’s with the names
Pike (Buffy’s boyfriend and ally here, Spike is her lover/enemy/ally in
    the show)

    OVERALL SUMMARY
If you are a vampire fanatic, than you will enjoy this. If you simply watch a movie for story telling only (like critics) then stay away. Look for cameos by David Arquette (Scream series), Hilary Swank (Next Karate Kid), Paul Reubens (Pee Wee’s Playhouse).
