    Cheerleader Massacre (2003)

    0
By Phil Davies Brown on August 26, 2003 Reviews

Originally intended to be ‘Slumber Party Massacre ‘ the company with the
rights to the series felt that it was not worthy of another sequel so went
ahead with it under the above title instead.

I had been quite excited to see this as I had recently seen the original
‘Slumber Party Massacre’ and was shocked to see that Brinke Stevens died
first!! Anyway, thanks to some snappy editing her character returns in
this film (a move obviously inspired by Jamie Lee Curtis) and we find out
    that she didn’t die.

Well as a horror film this is absolute garbage but as an unintentional
comedy this is five star material!!

I laughed out loud on numerous occasions, what with dialogue such as ‘I
knew today was going to suck when we got those stale doughnuts’, a boom
mike sharing the screen with the lead actress and a huge cameraman’s
    shadow blocking out the light.

Filmed on digital video there are all sorts of amateur problems such as
colour fade and bad sound and the special effects are blatantly noticeable
too. But by far the worst aspect is the actors who are just so atrocious
    (except Brinke of course).

There are some nicely orchestrated scenes such as a death we only know is
taking place in a pitch black forest, because of what we hear and by
watching the actor’s paraffin lamp, but then any sign of origionality is
ruined by copious amounts of fake blood a confusing storyline and almost
hardcore porn which totally detracts your attention from the story.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
With a cast of unfamiliars and first timers rounded out by a real XXX porn
star, I should have known what to expect. This film gets one star for the
    inclusion of Brinke Stevens.
