Whilst the majority of horror fans, myself included, thought this film was terrible and certainly nowhere near as good as it’s predecessor, there is no denying that Scott Spiegel can make a visually interesting film.
Despite a good cast of familiar faces and genre heroes, the story leaves you bored to tears, as the main cast sit around talking before heading to a hotel and talking, and then pulling a bank job before talking some more.
The way the film is shot however is very interesting with all manner of shot compositions, crazy angles and P.O.V. aplenty. The camera never stays still and it is very interesting and therefore was obviously well thought out in pre-production.
The best moment in the film involves an homage to ‘Psycho’ but aside from that there really isn’t much to write home about.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Starts off alright but never really goes anywhere. A very well made film, would have benefitted from a better story.
