    Hellblock 13 (2000)

Debbie Rochon and Gunnar Hansen star in this low rent (it’s a Troma Team release) horror film about a psycho witch prisoner on death row who tells her executioner three tales of supposed terror whilst she waits to be offed.

The first tale concerns a mother whose kids have gone missing, the second deals with a young trailer trash wife who seeks a witches help when she is abused by her husband and the third concerns some leather clad bikers who perform a ritual.

The film is a low rent Creepshow wannabe with the first tale almost in danger of committing copyright infringement from said film. The second tale is laughably bad…especially the atrocious FX work and the third was a bore fest (I’ll admit it; I fast forwarded my Sky+).

The film is only really watchable for the wraparound segment which features our stars, has decent effects work and is a tad creepy.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
This is a one woman show. One for fans of Rochon only.
