The survivors from the first film return in this sequel to the previous years box office sensation, and whilst the critics and the majority of
fans hated it, I thought it was just as good as the original.
Going against type, the film is set on the beautiful tropical island of Tower Bay in the Bahamas.
How can they pull this off ? well no one told the kids it was storm
season!!
The man with the hook is back and quickly dispatches the resort staff
before turning his attention to the kids.
Again we have a range of suspenseful set pieces, the best involving the remaining three females on the island.
Whilst the film is fun and aesthetically pleasing, it also tried to break new ground by going against the grain and setting the film in a tropical
paradise, and adding an element of voodoo.
In the end it was for me anyway, just as good as the original.
OVERALL SUMMARY
A good solid sequel to a great film left me hungry for more.
Unfortunately, it ties up a lot of loose ends and therefore It doesn’t
seem as though we will ever get another chapter.
