Phantasm III: Lord of the Dead (1994)

Like the last entry, this film begins where its predecessor left off with James Le Gros being thrown out of a speeding hearse only to stand up and morph into Michael Baldwin.

The action continues on as The Tall Man captures Mike, and Reggie sets after him encountering a young boy named Tim and a funky black laydee named Rocky along the way.

The main thing I liked about this movie was the references and visual nods to the first movie, such as the relationship between Reggie and young Tim as well as the hilarious attempts by Reggie to coax Rocky into bed with him.

The film is on a par with the first as it shares many similarities with the original but despite everyone’s best efforts it doesn’t quite live up to the impact of the second film.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
Definitely another solid entry into the series with excellent performances and hard work evident from all concerned.
