Judd Nelson and Po-Chih Leong return in their respective star and director roles for this sequel to the previous years Cabin by the Lake. This time, the story focuses on a movie which is being made about serial killer Stanley Caldwell’s life.
The tone is far more slapstick this time around, and it is more of a parody of Hollywood method than anything else, but there are a few moments of mild suspense backed up by some avant-garde behaviour which may entertain fans of arthouse flicks.
The young cast are all familiar amongst genre fans and do good jobs, but it gets a little tired as the whole set up basically makes the film a farce.
OVERALL SUMMARY
In conclusion the film benefits from an attractive cast and gorgeous Canadian Landscapes but not much else.
