    Satan’s Little Helper (2004)

Jeff Lieberman directs this wickedly graphic tale about a young boy who inadvertently becomes a pawn in a murderous rampage on Halloween night.

The film begins as Dougie’s sister comes home from college to take him trick or treating. When Dougie and his nutty mum Merrill turn up to meet her, they discover she has her new boyfriend in tow, which upsets Dougie no end.

This prompts Dougie to go looking for his video game hero and when he stumbles upon a murderer in a cool costume, he sets out to find some victims for him, starting with his sister’s boyfriend.

Watching the film, I noticed that it was similar in tone and style to Idle Hands. The cast all do good jobs, it’s bright, flamboyant and colourful, it has a great aesthetic and it’s so un-PC you won’t believe it….unless you’re a fan of Family Guy.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
Jeff Lieberman makes good use of new technology and manages to create a fresh and somewhat original twisted tale perfect for Halloween night.
