Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh star in this popular tale which sees Leigh move in with Fonda only to make her regret her decision to flat share with terrifying consequences.
The film is probably most noted for the fact that the material is nothing special, but Leigh’s tortured psycho and Fonda’s happy go lucky characters make it just that little bit different to any of the other similar themed thrillers popular in the period.
OVERALL SUMMARY
A great cast and decent performances alone do not make a great movie but in the case of Single White Female, they certainly help to make it that little bit better. Highly reminiscent of early 90’s Hollywood, SWF like Basic Instinct and Fatal Attraction before it is a sexually charged thriller that made audiences stand up and take notice and more remarkably, people still talk about it today.
