    Terror Tract (2000)

By Phil Davies Brown on November 8, 2005 Reviews

John Ritter stars in this twisted little anthology about a real estate agent who shows a recently married couple around three properties. The clients seem impressed, but the real estate agent can’t help himself from detailing exactly why the properties are on the market, and this involves tales of murder and mayhem.

The first tale sticks closely to the jilted lover formula present in old Brit chillers and is actually quite similar to the Ted Danson starring ‘Something to Tide You Over’ segment of ‘Creepshow’. The second tale involves a creepy little monkey and is like ‘Monkey Shines’ lite, and the third and best tale deals with a young man who has visions of a murderer named the Granny Killer.

The film is a lot of fun and the stories are so-so but it doesn’t quite manage to be as memorable as say ‘Tales from the Crypt’ or even ‘Creepshow 2’.

The cast contains a few familiar faces such as ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ star Bryan Cranston and Brenda Strong of ‘Desperate Housewives’ so TV fans will perhaps enjoy this the most.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
Not a bad little movie. Its intentions are honourable and its heart is in the right place, it’s just not quite as creepy as some previous anthologies have managed to be.
