This latest release from The Asylum is far better than most of their recent efforts, to the point where it was really enjoyable.
For those who don’t know, The Asylum specialize in making low budget versions of big budget flicks for the home video market. A recent example would be their just released When a Killer Calls which was put out to cash in on the success of When a Stranger Calls.
I can only assume that they noticed a film was coming out called Wolf Creek and missed the point, as this deals with a werewolf that hunts in the vicinity of Bray Road, next to a creek in Wisconsin.
The cast are likeable, the film looks glossy enough and the sound is pretty damn good for a low budget movie too.
If you want to see hot actors being ripped to shreds by a guy in a freaky wolf suit you’ll have more fun with this than you will with Cursed.
OVERALL SUMMARY
A lot of film snobs will instantly dismiss this as rubbish, but I’d had a stressful week and this groovy little b-movie livened things up for me a little. The Beast of Bray Road is my new guilty pleasure.
