I didn’t expect much from this until I realised that Jamie Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and John Hensley (Nip/Tuck) were in it.
The film actually started out quite well if not a bit predictable, but quickly went down hill thanks to some truly bad acting, crap scripting and bad effects.
The first story is about some jocks bullying a janitor, the second about more punks who mess with an Indian and the third and best story about some teens having a weekend in the countryside who think that they are being stalked.
Some of the cast are quite good and it does have it’s moments but a lot of the film’s faults lie with the screenplay, and to an extent lack of resources, but that isn’t really an excuse.
By far the worst aspect of the film is the truly tacky ending which the filmmakers should never have allowed to be created in post.
OVERALL SUMMARY
Not the worst film I have ever sat through, but not a very good one either. As anthologies go this is nowhere near as good as ‘Creepshow’ or ‘After Midnight’ and I would recommend that you watch ‘Campfire Tales’ instead.
