This low budget movie takes an increasingly popular urban myth as its starting point and turns into a strange almost pointless extended chase scene with no suspense whatsoever.
The film opens as business man Robert meets the mysterious and sexy Greta at an airport. The two share a cab and later meet for a drink before jumping into the hot tub together and doing the nasty. Robert awakens the next day to find a message in lipstick on his bathroom mirror¡K..the message reads¡K. ƒ¼ H.I.V
Robert sets out to find Greta as we discover that she has been doing this for a few years now. He rents a shop, tracks her down and makes the bitch pay for infecting him, with the help of a wide range of power tools. When he disposes of her body he is seen by a couple who had been camping nearby. He then sets out to kill the witnesses.
The film works for the most part as it raises some interesting questions but it never answers them or offers any kind of explanation. Why does Greta do what she does? She told Robert it was a lie¡Kmaybe it was? It also transpires that one of the witnesses was intended to be Greta¡¦s next victim. This for me raised questions about fate and how you can¡¦t escape it, but the story never followed that idea through either.
OVERALL SUMMARY
In the end it¡¦s a little bit pointless or I guess you could call it a wasted opportunity. What it does benefit from is some gore and a cool decapitation effect.
