Steven King and George A. Romero brought us another collection of short stories in this fun sequel to the 1982 original.
This time the wrap around story is animated and the three stories deal with an Indian statue out for vengeance, a group of teens who swim out to a raft and regret it, and an adulterous woman who has a run in with a Rutger Hauer wannabe.
The film retains the original’s sense of fun and the stories are actually very entertaining, despite the fact that the first one is a little too heavy on conversation.
The films are really entertaining and are the perfect thing for Friday night popcorn fun.
Daryl Hannah’s sister Page appears in the second installment obviously hoping for the success that followed Daryl after she appeared in horror movie The Final Terror….it didn’t go to plan.
OVERALL SUMMARY
I personally enjoyed this more than the first film and am now hoping that plans for the long rumoured third film go ahead and with George Romero making a big comeback lets hope that we finally see it.
