Horror film favorites Debbie Rochon and Tina Krause will land in Kansas City to film a promotional trailer for the upcoming feature film ‘Devil’s Fork’.
The film follows the story of a married couple (Rochon and Allen Lowman) on a long ride home from a wedding reception. Upon their fateful decision to pick up an attractive female hitch-hiker (Krause) they begin a terrifying cross-country journey filled with violence as the hitch-hiker’s Darwinist accomplice, known only as Preacher (Jared Cyr) tests the couple with a number of increasingly horrific situations.
Rochon herself, a veteran of over 130 films, says “This is one of the most extreme scripts I have read” which should please her many fans as well as fans of the horror genre. “We’ve done whatever we have to do to continue moving forward with this project, and with this trailer, we should definitely be able to attract final financing” says Director/Producer Jeff Chitty. Chitty, along with Producers Sally Sinn and Nancy Platt have managed local fundraising events to raise funds to bring the cast out for a weekend to film the trailer.
The producers hope to obtain full funding and begin principal photography by spring/summer 2009.
