The Legend of Bloody Jack (2007)

This terrible Z-movie is one of the worst I have ever had the misfortune of seeing.

Starting your movie with fifteen minutes of a guy wandering around the woods on his own talking to himself (apart for the five minutes his girlfriend is with him) is not a good move. When you then find out that this was the longest opening representation of a campfire story ever committed to film, you are even more fed up and so it continues, as terrible ‘actors’ run about getting naked and larking around.

I haven’t seen such poor effects (the titular bad guy looks pathetic) in a long time. There are far too many sequences where people stand around talking, it’s poorly shot, badly written and the editing is atrocious with no regard whatsoever for continuity. One minute it’s pitch black outside the next it’s daylight.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
This film is a stinker, there’s no denying that, however, I can’t help feeling that it was deliberately bad, as though the filmmakers were trying to make a spoof of bad 80s backwoods horror movies or maybe they are just completely inept. Avoid at all costs.
