The very capable John Carl Beuchler unleashes his new film on an
unsuspecting public, and despite a very effective title sequence it pretty
much goes down hill after that.
Basically, a young man finds gold and sends a nugget and a map to his sister asking her and his pals to come help him gather it all.
The fortysomething kids then make their way into the outback to satisfy their greed.
Unfortunately for them…….but fortunately for us, the tangible ghost of an ex-miner comes back to carry out the curse…..anyone who takes his
gold will die!!
The greedy so and so’s then die one by one and in my opinion in the wrong order as the most obnoxious characters live longest here.
Not even the appearances of Martin Kove, Jeff ‘Kenickie’ Conaway and
‘Mother Firefly’ herself Karen Black can save this lump of spray painted
granite, masked as a golden nugget.
OVERALL SUMMARY
It’s aesthetically pleasing, and three of the female characters are quite good, but there are no other reasons to watch it.
