    Delta Delta Die! (2003)

By Phil Davies Brown on April 24, 2004 Reviews

Devin Hamilton’s black comedy / horror romp, is now available in the UK with it’s tongue firmly planted in it’s cannibalistic cheek.

The sisters of the Delta Delta Pi sorority are infamous on campus for their Delta Delta pies. Dean’s assistant Toby is suspicious of the girls as a lot of guys seem to go missing once they enter the house. Could there be a connection between the missing guys and the pies secret ingredient?

What ensues is a romp full of blood and boobs that ends with the catfight to end all catfights as Scream Queens Julie Strain and Brinke Stevens fight to the death!!

From the opening scene the film is hilariously over the top, but is supposed to be, as it is basically an excuse for a whole host of horror honeys to get their boobies out…..amongst other things!!

The film looks good and so do the girls and that’s all there is to it, plain and simple. The cast of B-movie scream queens are really good and are to be respected for making sure we know they can act before showing us their other assets. Tiffany Shepis is hilarious here and I’m glad that she continues to work in a wide variety of genre roles, and it’s nice to see Lizzy Strain sticking at it too.

In the end DDD isn’t scary (despite the copious amounts of blood and gore) but is a knowingly over the top excuse to put all of our favourite scream queens in one movie. Taken in the spirit intended, fans of the actresses featured are sure to have a blast with this.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
Watch out for an appearance from Laura Nativo and her dog Preston, and a clever reference to Sweeney Todd, the notorious London barber who was said to kill his victims and cook them in pies.
