This nifty little real-time thriller comes to the UK courtesy of Mosaic Movies and whilst it borrows heavily from the visual style of 24, it manages to be its own movie and it’s an explosive little treat at that.
The plot sees Grayson McCouch play Tom Weaver, a business man with a trophy wife who finds himself locked in an underground parking garage after closing a late night business deal. The elevators, stairwells and gates are locked, but nuisance soon turns to nightmare as Tom realizes that a 6,000lb monster truck is down there with him, it’s sadistic driver watching and waiting behind blacked out windows. As Tom struggles to work out who may be behind the wheel he must use all of his cunning to survive the night or he won’t ever get out of the building.
The film looks really impressive and is very visually accomplished in terms of effects and photography. It has a good cast; a decent story and a certain amount of charm which helps elevate the material from mundane to entertaining.
OVERALL SUMMARY
