Over the years Dimension Films have given us horror fans some pretty solid genre flicks (Scream, Mimic and The Faculty spring to mind) but they’ve also exploited us with straight to video/DVD clag (endless Children of the Corn and Hellraiser sequels). Having said that, I’d have rather watched the aforementioned sequels back to back than endure this.
I watched Feast II and thought it was THE worst piece of shit I had seen in years. This film was on a par with that.
Joel Soisson is a solid guy. He’s worked hard over the years on a lot of decent films (biding his time on some not so great movies along the way) but if this is the shit he’s being offered, he needs to work for someone else.
The film takes a basic idea (father searches for daughter in a world overrun by ghosts) and stretches it out over 90 minutes. I really don’t have much to say other than the fact that Boti Bliss was awesome, Jamie Bamber was solid and overall this film was dire.
Almost everything was shot on green screen. The film looked incredibly fake to the point where it was highly distracting.
OVERALL SUMMARY
I’m not a fan of Kairo but I thought the remake, Pulse was okay. This film was terrible. If it weren’t for the lead actors and the director this would get 0 stars. That is all.
