    Red Water (2003)

By Phil Davies Brown on February 28, 2004 Reviews

I had read an interview towards the end of last year with Lou Diamond Phillips in which he talked about this film and why he thought it was good, and I have to say it made me want to see it. Imagine my surprise this week when I discovered that it was now out to rent.

Basically, this is a retread of every creature run amok film you have ever seen which brings absolutely nothing new to the sub genre!!

A crew drilling for oil cross paths with some bad guys looking for stolen cash and as if that wasn’t bad enough a bull shark has been attacking people in the lake.

This film had a good cast including Kristy Swanson, Coolio and Mr. Belding himself Dennis Haskins.

    OVERALL SUMMARY
It’s all been done before, but despite a good cast and a novel way of killing off the shark, that just isn’t enough.
