No doubt inspired by ‘The Blair Witch Project’, this shot on video film sees four people spend the night in an old plantation house on the outskirts of Louisiana, and obviously strange things start to happen.
The film at the time of release was actually really creepy and remains so, despite it’s more cheesy and obvious moments.
The cast, or sorry ‘participants’ (the film’s premise was allegedly explained to everyone involved to be an actual experiment) are all actors with IMDB profiles, and the director makes horror movies for a living, so I’m a little sceptical.
The film is easier to watch than BWP as it takes place indoors, so there are lights and steady surfaces to help with the proceedings for a start.
The legend, which is allegedly true, the location and some creepy moments make this worth a watch, but you’ll probabaly find it quite funny in places too.
OVERALL SUMMARY
You’ll either love it or you’ll hate it but it’s definitely worth a watch.
