Emma Caulfield stars as Victoria Peyton in this made for TV thriller about a stressed-out architect who relocates from the big city to the quiet suburbs with her family after a breakdown. When she begins to suspect that her eerie neighbour Fritz Wolfram is hiding someone in his basement, her family dismiss it as boredom/an over-active imagination/as a result of her recent health issues (insert any reason you can think of) BUT, the truth is more terrifying!
I always liked Emma as Anya in Buffy so I thought I’d give this movie a watch and it was a slick and surprisingly well made little movie which fans of films such as Disturbia should enjoy.
The cast were all well suited to their roles with Caulfield and Michael Hogan stealing the show (although he’s already an evil bastard in my mind after playing the villain in Season 2 of Teen Wolf).
OVERALL SUMMARY
The story evolves at a great pace but anyone who has seen The Hand That Rocks the Cradle will know what’s coming ahead of time. There is a twist at the end which you’ll expect and it’s a TV movie so don’t expect a body count, but if you’re looking for something to watch late night on TV you could do far worse.
