Now we all know that Canon films ruined this after they took it away from Tobe Hooper and cut it themselves, but I couldn’t even see where he was trying to go with it.
The Sawyer family have been on the loose since Sally Hardesty escaped, moving around Texas and continuing their killing spree.
When Sally’s uncle Lefty comes looking for the family he uses a radio host as bait and she finds herself stalked by the sadistic cannibal clan.
The only thing that I really liked about this film was Caroline Williams. The film had a great cast but I felt that the characters were poorly written which made the actors performances appear way over the top.
Don’t get me wrong, I know that Tobe intended to make this one more humourous and I’m glad that he set out to do something different but I didn’t expect the film to be a farce.
Not remotely scary and lacking everything that made the first film so terrifying, this sequel is mildly interesting for the curious at best.
OVERALL SUMMARY
A big disappointment. Like the story behind the making of it, this film is a muddled jumble of a mess.
