Since they were filmed back to back I felt it only appropriate to watch them back to back, and whilst I felt this fourth film was better than the previous one it was still a long way from being good.
When Lisa’s lawyer and friend Steven gives her an antique jewellery box, she is absolutely thrilled until she drops it and it breaks open to reveal a hidden gem stone, which (you guessed it once again) unleashes the Djinn.
This films strong points lie in it’s scripting. The actual story was very cleverly constructed, but was slightly let down in it’s execution.
Whilst the majority of the cast have extensive TV credits behind them, they are all largely unknown, but were all very capable and likeable. Even John Novak’s portrayal of the Djinn was quite enjoyable this time around.
Despite the strong storyline however, we are subjected to even more nudity
and gore than in part (and there are no college student’s in this one).
The wishes were very well scripted but a tad too ambitious for a film with such a small budget, which was a shame as I get the feeling that they could have been something special. In fact the only really bad thing about the film is the Warrior sub-plot.
OVERALL SUMMARY
If this were to be the last film in the series (which I doubt it will be) then the cast and crew have done the series justice, by creating a very fitting end to the saga.
